a day at the museum

We got home from Missouri on Monday and Tuesday morning Luca and I set off for the last playgroup of the summer with our friends from MSG. A few of us met up and went to Waco to the Children's Museum for the day. Luca was happy to see his friends again and he had a great time at the museum.

He gave the buffalo kisses and asked to come back to this room several times because there was a big stuffed bear that he wanted to see and indian drums to bang on.

There was an animas room, Luca was a big fan of the swimming turtles. He also liked the frog, snakes, rabbit and guinea pig. I think there was some confusion after I showed him the guinea pig because he kept snorting at it and calling it a pig.

This big train exhibit was in the center of several rooms so we got to see it a lot. Luca loved to follow the trains all the way around and especially watching them go through the tunnels. He definately shares his papa's enjoyment of trains!

This is one picture I debated on taking. It's too soon for mama to be watching her little one get off the bus although I know it won't be long!

After a yummy lunch which Luca finished off entirely we were all ready to crash. Luca was the first to go but Rachel wasn't too far behind. Mama also got to help Luca finish his nap when we got home.

It's been a lazy week for us. just getting back into the routine of things. The laundry is done, the suitcases are put away and lots of extra naps have been had. I will be working this weekend and am hoping to find some time to get another post together with pictures from our recent trip if I can put my knitting down long enough. I have finally started a new project and forgot how much I enjoy it!
